Philadelphia is a great city to visit and enjoy.  We're listing some basics to help you get around.


One of the most enjoyable aspects of Philadelphia is the number of BYOB restaurants in the city.  BYOB means "Bring Your Own Booze"--typically wine or beer.  Be careful:  there are a few establishments that charge a corking fee for this.  Unfortunately, if you purchase wine in Philadelphia, you must do so at the state controlled liquor store.  Beer is sold separately by a beer distributor in quantities of one or more cases, but there are several six-pack shops through-out center city, albeit pricey.
